New Auditor General's 2021 Interim Audit Work Plan

The City’s Pandemic Response and the Prevention of Workplace Violence and Harassment Are Part of the New Auditor General’s 2021 Interim Audit Work Plan

Ottawa – Today, Auditor General Nathalie Gougeon tabled her 2021 Interim Audit Work Plan. Among the highlights of the 2021 Interim Audit Work Plan; her office will look at the City’s Pandemic Response (which will commence once the pandemic has gotten to a controlled state) and the Prevention of Workplace Violence and Harassment.

“Prevention of Workplace Violence and Harassment is currently top of mind for all levels of government and across all industries,” explained Mme Gougeon. “We want to ensure that the City has established and consistently implements policies and processes that foster a workplace that is free of violence and harassment and that city staff feel safe coming forward with allegations of this nature, should they arise.”

The audit will also examine if the City follows regulatory requirements.
